Google review QR code

A card on the counter, one scan, and the customer lands straight on the review form. The catch is getting the right link.

Step 1: get the review link

The QR code only points at an address. All the value is in that address: it must open the "Rate and review" window directly, with no step in between.

  1. From your Business ProfileSign in at google.com/business, open your location, click "Ask for reviews". Google shows a short link like g.page/r/… — that is the one.
  2. Or from Google SearchSearch your exact business name, open the panel on the right, click the review count, then "Write a review". Copy the address of the page that opens.
  3. Test the linkOpen it in a private window. You should see the stars and the comment box straight away, with your business name and logo.

Do not shorten the link yourself with a third-party service to "tidy it up". The Google link is already short, and a shortener adds a dependency that can fail. Paste the Google link as-is into the generator.

Step 2: generate the code

Paste the link in the field below. A few notes specific to this use:

What not to do

Google forbids review gating: a page that first asks "are you satisfied?" and only sends happy customers to Google. It is detectable and exposes your listing to review removal or suspension. The QR code must send everyone to the same form. Likewise, never offer anything in return (a discount, a free drink) for a review — that also breaks the rules.

Need to generate the code?

Paste your Google review link below. Free, no account, and the code does not expire — you can reprint the sign for years.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my review link?

In your Google Business Profile, the "Ask for reviews" button gives you a short g.page link. Or from your panel in Search, via "Write a review".

Does it cost anything?

No. The link is free from Google and the QR code is free too. Paid kits mostly sell a laminated stand.

Can I keep only the good reviews?

No. Review gating breaks Google's rules and can get your listing penalised. The code sends everyone to the same form.

Does the customer need a Google account?

Yes, leaving a review requires one. Most Android users have one.

What if I change address?

As long as the listing stays the same, the link and the code do not change.
